Resistance is how the Syrian protesters want their movement to be
labeled, not an uprising, insurgency or rebellion. Indeed, when one examines the
facts on the ground, theirs now is a popular resistance movement, one aimed at
liberating Syria from tyranny and corruption.
Friday February 17, 2012 – A day

Op-Eds & Special Reports
In Daraya, and in response to the
New Constitution which stipulates that the President must be a man of Muslim
Descent, Christian protesters carried a sign saying: “why can’t the President
by a Christian woman?” this a majority Muslim neighborhood, very traditional,
yet, Muslim protesters rallied behind the sign as well. This is an Islamic or
extremist revolution http://youtu.be/jn-mIrfKlJ4

ReplyDeleteDear Ammar. Thanks again for your great entries and all Your research and analysis.
ReplyDeleteI have seen in Orient TV that some of the Bashar loyalists or soldiers who in recent months appeared detaining, humiliating or torturing protesters, have now a new fate: They are captured or killed by the FSA. I don't know if You already posted those new videos of them captured or killed, so I would appreciate if You write down the links of these new videos.
The 3 cases I know about are:
1.-The Secret Agent who at the begining of the revolution detained one of the very first protesters, Marwa: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cFRZB4ctxI4 (the first secret agent has been captured by FSA).
2.-One of the shabiha who tortured and humilliated protesters in the town of Al-Bayda (I'm not sure, but I think Its the fat shabiha appearing in 0:28 who has been recently killed by a shooting from the FSA): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KOR0qZPzvh4
3.-On of the officials who tortured a protester in this video has been captured (if I'm not wrong) by FSA in Rastan some days ago:

Excuse my inaccurate information (due to a lack of aknowledge of arabic language). But If You have those 3 videos showing the fate of those 3 killers, I think They are very useful to show everybody that in some cases, there is justice at the end, that Bashar loyalists are not untouchable. And in particular, those videos are like a regeneration drink for the Syrian people in this tough time.
Best regards Ammar and keep it up.

And by the way, those videos bring a reflexion about the importance of Cellphone cameras in this Revolution as a truly weapon for the oposition.
